WAKATAKE 2,671 Posted May 5, 2021 (edited) Hello Everyone! Welcome to another addition to my game series, Sanyaku Carousel! I had been wanting to get this game rolling since last year, and I figure now is the time to start it up. The goal of Sanyaku Carousel is to correctly guess the last five matches of the day, which will consist mainly of sanyaku matches in the makuuchi division. The person with the most points at the end of the basho is declared the yusho winner. The scoring system will work in a unique way, as for each progressive day, each match will be worth a different amount of points. The matches and points will rotate for every five days, and for each progressive stage of the basho, the scoring will increase too! As the scoring increases, your chances of staging a comeback could also happen. Rules: 1. Choose who you think will be winner of the last five matches of each day 2. Your score for the day will be based on which matches that you win for the day 3. The player with the best cumulative score at the end of the basho will be declared the yusho winner 4. Match scores rotate for each day in a five day cycle, and with three rotations for the basho. For each rotation, the scoring will also multiply, with rotation two being worth 2x points, and rotation three being worth 3x points 5. Scoring is as below for each day and rotation - Day 1 --> Match 1: 5 points, Match 2: 4 points, Match 3: 3 points, Match 4: 2 points, Musubi: 1 point - Day 2 --> Match 1: 1 point, Match 2: 5 points, Match 3: 4 points, Match 4: 3 points, Musubi: 2 points - Day 3 --> Match 1: 2 points, Match 2: 1 point, Match 3: 5 points, Match 4: 4 points, Musubi: 3 points - Day 4 --> Match 1: 3 points, Match 2: 2 points, Match 3: 1 point, Match 4: 5 points, Musubi: 4 points - Day 5 --> Match 1: 4 points, Match 2: 3 points, Match 3: 2 points, Match 4: 1 point, Musubi: 5 points - Day 6 --> Match 1: 10 points, Match 2: 8 points, Match 3: 6 points, Match 4: 4 points, Musubi: 2 points - Day 7 --> Match 1: 2 points, Match 2: 10 points, Match 3: 8 points, Match 4: 6 points, Musubi: 4 points - Day 8 --> Match 1: 4 points, Match 2: 2 points, Match 3: 10 points, Match 4: 8 points, Musubi: 6 points - Day 9 --> Match 1: 6 points, Match 2: 4 points, Match 3: 2 points, Match 4: 10 points, Musubi: 8 points - Day 10 --> Match 1: 8 points, Match 2: 6 points, Match 3: 4 points, Match 4: 2 points, Musubi: 10 points - Day 11 --> Match 1: 15 points, Match 2: 12 points, Match 3: 9 points, Match 4: 6 points, Musubi: 3 points - Day 12 --> Match 1: 3 points, Match 2: 15 points, Match 3: 12 points, Match 4: 9 points, Musubi: 6 points - Day 13 --> Match 1: 6 points, Match 2: 3 points, Match 3: 15 points, Match 4: 12 points, Musubi: 9 points - Day 14 --> Match 1: 9 points, Match 2: 6 points, Match 3: 3 points, Match 4: 15 points, Musubi: 12 points - Day 15 --> Match 1: 12 points, Match 2: 9 points, Match 3: 6 points, Match 4: 3 points, Musubi: 15 points 6. Bonus points are awarded if players correctly guess all five matches for the day. This bonus is equal to the max point match of the day depending on the rotation (5, 10, 15) 7. Submissions will be conducted via Survey Monkey but entries by forum post, forum pm or email will be accepted 8. Submissions will be due by 4pm JST for the day. Late submissions will not be accepted 9. Any matches that have a kyujo involved will be scored as 0. No changes will be made to the survey link so you can fill out as normal. A kyujo will not affect bonus points if player gets remaining matches correct 10. In the case of a tie score, we will go to the tiebreakers to determine the winner. The tiebreaker criteria will be listed below 11. Bonus points are not counted towards the tiebreaker 12. The maximum achievable score for this game is 450 points for mainscoring, with an additional. Kekka will be determined based on a win for every 30 points scored, with 450+ equaling zensho Tiebreakers: 1. Most days with all 5 matches guessed correctly 2. Most correct match scores in the following order a. 15 point matches b. 10 point matches c. 5 point matches 3. Most correct musubi no ichiban guesses 4. Most correct guesses vs yokozuna (no criteria for rank, yokozuna vs yokozuna do not count) 5. Most correct guesses vs ozeki (no criteria for rank, yokozuna vs ozeki and ozeki vs ozeki do not count) 6. Most days with 4 matches guessed correctly 7. Most days with 3 matches guessed correctly 8. Jejima 1,414 Posted May 6, 2021 (edited) I have a feeling that the 15 points for the musubi no ichiban for day 15 will be pretty much a 'gimme' for most bashos.
