Hishofuji/Shizuuchi (personal top now at 255kg - he wants to get down to 200kg) was interviewed by NikkanSports, first about the role in John Wick

He got a call from the agent who had watched the first episodes of Sanctuary, got the OK from Netflix to go for the shooting in Berlin for a month and then returned to that for Sanctuary.

About the sumo boom that Sanctuary caused: "The sumo world should do a collaboration with Sanctuary, it would lead to a revitalization of sumo. But because Sanctuary also depicts  the taboos of sumo, it might not be possible to have some collaboration."
