Ganzohnesushi 526 Posted December 19, 2023 (edited) 1-5 Kaito (finished 11-8-6-2 in the previous years, so I’m expecting him to win the title in 2024) 6-10 Joaoiyama (impresses me more than the always over-hyped Brazilian football team) 11-20 Kitakachiyama (four years in a row collecting more than 100 SB masters points is a first-class reference) 21-40 Ganzohnesushi (self-explaining) 41-80 Choshu-yuki (expecting 2-3 Yusho from Norizo’s better half) 81-120 Konya ga Yamada (promising newcomer) 121-200 Andrasoyama (here is hope for a hungry Hungarian) 200+ Jejima (what the hell is he doing in this group?) Athenayama 1,080 Posted January 10, 2024 Actually, I wanted to enter the last minute as I was waiting from Kintamayama and Akinomaki their reports with the players going kyujo in 2024 but as I see nothing coming..... Shame on you both ! And I thought you were pros ! 1-5 Pandaazuma (Actually I didn't pick the GOAT last year but I think the time has come again. Competition is very hard in these heights and the TOP 3 will be very close at the end of the year which I'm sure the Panda will be part of!) 6-10 Golynohana (Several impressive performances in 2023 he can definitely repeat in 2024. But who am I talking about? All these are veterans, extra good players!) 11-20 Athenayama (Well, I still can't score points in BS and SG due to my rank and of course GTB where I completely suck but this was also the case in 2023. In addition let me remind you that the TOP 5 in 2023 Metasumo standings had ME in their picks.... now seriously, I doubt I can repeat my performance but I'll definitely try hard) 21-40 Flohru ( GOOD LUCK ! ;) My first choice would have been Kajiyanosho but there is no way Flohru can remain so low in the ranks and as soon as I saw he was in that category, my pick became obvious) 41-80 Kobashi (I expect him to score around 50 points or even more in 2024 which is what the 41st ranked usually produces). 81-120 Hidenotora (I expect a bounce back as their rank was quite low in 2023). 121-200 Saruyama (This experienced player belongs much higher in my humble opinion. Do well my Ichimon mate in BS ! There are really many "NR" players in that category and probably one of them will be its top scorer in 2024 but how can we guess?? So I'll go wih stats I know) 201+ Holleshoryu (I wanted to pick Jejima but I didn't want to put him too much pressure with the lethal threat "You must perform great in 2024 or I'll quit managing the Sweepstake game, gyojing in Bench Sumo ....... AND refiojing in Bench World/Euro Cups altogether !". Furthermore, Holleshoryu has nothing to do in that category anyway and I'm sure he'll be one of its top scorers in 2024 ). Were my comments too long? Sorry but I'm not sorry ! Good luck to all the players ! And, please, make your picks for Metasumo game ! How can we be so few just 4 days before the start of the basho ? ? 1

Kaito 311 Posted January 12, 2024 I guess I missed the Bench deadline already? A lot of games were late getting ready when I was trying to register. Figured I'd just wait until the torikumi was out and absences were known. It's a wonder this hasn't happened before, but not the way I wanted to start the year. Sumo Game is a day later, but still a day before shonichi.
Kaito 311 Posted January 12, 2024 I was aware it's early and that many people have missed playing as a result, and it still caught me off guard. If the deadline's gonna be that early, it'd be nice if it opened for entries early as well. I signed up for Sumo Game ages ago.

Sometimes I peek in before the basho, but I guess not this time. At least not during the 2 days sign-ups were open.
