Sumo Spiffy 568 Posted January 19 9 hours ago, Jejima said: 10 - This is SO annoying. I thought that my choice of Wakamotoharu was going to be a 'genius' pick - but it just appears to be part of the train. However, there are so many possibilities involving yusho contenders, I am only a little above 50% confident with this pick. I'm not sure that's true. Teru dropping out massively limited the options. If they tended to shuffle sanyaku matches based on performance, that could throw a wrench in things, but as far as I've ever been able to tell, they stick with whatever logic they're using and poor performance just leads to some matches getting broken entirely. I can think of a couple exceptions, but not many.

Bunbukuchagama 732 Posted January 21 Every bout was scheduled based on record - except Ura's, if course. There is also Takayasu, but his aite is a sanyaku rikishi at least.
