This will be Ichiyamamoto's first ever experience of the sausage grinder joi-jin.

Wakamotoharu has never had a 7-8 or an 8-7 record in his 19 bashos in the Makunouchi Division! (I think my favourite rikishi fact, so far this Sekitori Sweepstake basho.)

Fujiseiun has won a 7-0 yusho in all the five lower divisions, except for Jonidan, where he managed a 7-0 jun-yusho (after a play-off loss).
