The Fat Cyclist 32 Posted March 23 Yes it's a great debut performance. I just wish he didnt stare at the dojo so much during his bouts. I cant help but think that looking at your opponent a bit more would be helpful. But he's still winning so what do I know :)

Godango 1,014 Posted March 23 I'm pleased that Onosato should now officially be on a tsuna run regardless. That is all I will say for now.
Oshirokita 192 Posted March 23 Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Staying up late to see the playoff. Let's go!
Benihana 1,936 Posted March 23 I'll eat my hat (made of steaks) if Onosato will not be promoted to Yokozuna after Natsu 25 (barring injury).

Benihana 1,936 Posted March 23 (edited) Come on, did anyone really think Takayasu could pull it off? With all due respect, he had the chances of a snowflake in hell. Edited March 23 by Benihana

I mean he beat Onosato already. Plus won tonight when he'd normally choke here. On 23/03/2025 at 08:22, hakutorizakura said: Imagine how Kisenosato's feeling now... Hey, at least party tonight! Oshirokita 192 Posted March 23 Even watching the replays, I still am willing a different result. Onosato seems undeniable. Also, I have to be careful typing Onosato, it keeps autocorrecting to onomatopoeia!
Katooshu 3,322 Posted March 23 (edited) The previous two playoffs he had late meltdowns: the first time he lost on day 14, 15, and then the playoff; the second time he lost day 15 and then the playoff. This time Onosato was always hot on his tail and I thought Takayasu did pretty well in his losses. He also delivered in his 15th match. It's easy to say he choked, but I didn't really see the signs of that as much as before. This time it seemed he had an overwhelming rival and he simply wasn't good enough at this stage to fend him off the whole tournament. Kaninoyama 1,815 Posted March 23 (edited) Onosato was just overwhelming. Takayasu's chance was yesterday. In his sansho interview he said he left everything he had out on the dohyo. Just isn't meant to be, sadly. Edited March 23 by Kaninoyama
