Kintamayama 45,136 Posted August 31, 2005 (edited) Asashouryuu, who was beaten by Kotooushuu last basho, came for degeiko at Sadogatake beya as promised. He woke up bright and early, prepared himself, and was driven over. He had 18 consecutive bouts. He had 6 with Osh. Furious tsuki, oshi and quick morozashi wins- he won all six. "He has become strong", praised Asa. "I'll be going tomorrow as well", he promised. Edited August 31, 2005 by Kintamayama
Kintamayama 45,136 Posted August 31, 2005 (edited) "Hey! The Yokozuna came all this way to our heya for keiko! Show some more spirited youth!" roared Sadogatake Oyakata unto Kotooushuu, who was showing feeble sumo against Asa, coming in low and showing almost no offense. He was thrown down with a hearty uwatenage, among other kimarite. "The basho and the keiko-ba are the same..but", was all Osh could say. Kintamayama 45,136 Posted August 31, 2005 (edited) What about Kotomitsuki? Any bouts between him and the Yokozuna? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It doesn't say, but in another article it says he has vowed to reach Ozeki. "I was putting too much pressure on my shoulders in Nagoya, hence the bad results. This time I will use my whole body and attempt a new Ozeki run!", he vowed. Kintamayama 45,136 Posted August 31, 2005 (A sekitori...) no...or? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, it sure looks like him, short haircut and all, and that stubble of hair on his chest.
Ryukaze 0 Posted August 31, 2005 Wow you have to love the Yokozuna's enthusiasm, did he pay a visit to kokkai's heya also? I certainly hope more of the young guns can step there game up and give the Yokozuna some competition however this basho. p.s. isnt that ur mom I see in the background there? Jakusotsu 5,969 Posted August 31, 2005 (edited) Hey, isn't the guy standing behind Osh Kotoryuu??<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was instantly struck by the same thought. It sure has to be him, since all the other Sadogatake sekitori look very different. Good to see him back in shape! (A sekitori...) Kintamayama 45,136 Posted August 31, 2005 Looks like Katayama to me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Certainly possible, since they are also in the same Ichimon, and Katayama looks a lot like Kotoryuu, but still seems like Kotoryuu to me.. Not Kaihou, that's for sure.

karlsmom 0 Posted August 31, 2005 I vote Katayama too. Chest is not as hairy as Kotoryu's. The mage just fell off to the back so it kinda looked short. Looks like Katayama to me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Certainly possible, since they are also in the same Ichimon, and Katayama looks a lot like Kotoryuu, but still seems like Kotoryuu to me.. madorosumaru 7 Posted September 1, 2005 What about Kotomitsuki? Any bouts between him and the Yokozuna? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> According to Daily Sports, Asashoryu had a total of 18 moshiai--6 with Osh and the rest against Kotomitsuki, Kotoshogiku, Kotokasuga, and Katayama, who was also there for de-geiko.
