Itachi 396 Posted September 5, 2005 Yoshikaze sustained a bit of a foot injury that caused him to drop out of the yusho race last tourney. How bad is it? Will he be participating this tournament? Will he be able to compete effectively? I got the impression from an earlier injury message that Yoshikaze was badly injured and unlikely to compete but I haven't heard enough to be certain. He has had a fine start to his career as a sekitori - barring serious injury I would expect him to push forward and take a serious run at Makuuchi by the new year. Anyone know about his status?
