karlsmom 0 Posted October 19, 2005 Thanks! Only wish the feature was much longer. For us here in North America, English-speaking featues like that are few and far between.

They're doing some kind of sumo feature on "Live with Regis and Kelly" tomorrow (10/19 US). Dale Dale, I saw it! (Whistling...) It was partial members of the Amazumo. They were there in N.Y. for the exhibition. The Spokesperson was Ronnie Alman (Almand? Almond?) from Norway. They explained, at high level, what some of the dohyo rituals were.(Annoyed...) Kelly asked "what happens if there is a wardrobe malfunction?" (In love...) It was only on for 6 mins. and 40 sec. but it was interesting. I recorded it on DVD... Sasanishiki 57 Posted October 20, 2005 Is anyone likely to be able to record the NY SUMO thing (the actual tournament) in its entirety? Is it on live, or at least with a full reply? I would very much like to see it.
_the_mind_ 0 Posted October 21, 2005 for anyone who has or watches ESPN. Cold Pizza this morning had some of the amature rikishi on because it is filmed in NY. and the ignorent female host of the show looks at them all and says "men in diapers. what can i say, men shouldnt wear diapers" ....i personally found this to be extremely offensive. i wish ShiroiKuma had been there to put her in her place. although im sure he is far too nice for that. if anyone else thinks these words are offensive to you then please go to ESPN.com and give them feedback about it. this is the exact type of crap that must make the Kyokai not like comeing here. to have their sport be blatently disrespected and belittles on air live in saying these men do not have blatter control and likening them to an infent. i know i have written a complaint letter. i found it to be in extremely poor taste. no wonder ESPN doesnt ever have sumo on. even if the feeder show out of japan was still active, they wouldnt show it. just a classy organization >(Gyoji...)
